In 1979, Pat McGahern took over as managing director of Gowna Construction Ltd which was founded by his father John F McGahern. With over 40 years of experience in the construction industry, Pat continues to lead Gowna Construction towards success and has overseen an extensive list of projects in various sectors.
Noeleen joined the family business in 1980 with a responsibility for payroll and accounts. With over 30 years of experience in her role, Noeleen’s main responsibilities now include administration and overall financial operations within the company.
Rosaleen has been involved in the family business since 1970 and in that time has developed an extensive knowledge of all areas across the business and has established good working relationships with our vast number of business associates.
Jim joined Gowna Construction in 1984 as a Quantity Surveyor with degrees in Construction Economics and Construction Studies. With over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, Jim is currently the senior quantity surveyor at Gowna Construction and is a qualified chartered quantity surveyor. His main responsibilities include overseeing all surveying and cost management of projects from tender to completion. In working alongside the Design and Construction Team Jim ensures best value for our Clients.
Padraig, a qualified engineer, began working with Gowna Construction in 1984. Having worked for Gowna Construction for over 30 years, he has gained a vast amount of experience in his time here and further developed his skills as an engineer and contracts manager. He has the responsibility for the contract management of projects under his control.
With over Eighteen years of experience in the Construction sector, Enda is currently operating as a Contracts Manager for Gowna Construction. Having received a diploma in Project Management from Dublin Business School, Enda went on to graduate from Athlone Institute of Technology with an honours degree in Energy and Business Management. His responsibilities at Gowna Construction include overseeing the operations of projects while also endeavouring to develop new business and opportunities in the market for the company.
Colm graduated with an honours degree in Construction Management from Galway Mayo institute of Technology in 2013 having already graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology in 2011 with a Civil Engineering degree. Having spent time in America working in construction, Colm joined Gowna Construction in 2015 as a Procurement Manager. Colm is now responsible for the sourcing of materials and plant as well as monitoring from quotation enquiry to invoicing.
